Zensar Technologies - Firewall Engineer - Network Infrastructure (4-6 yrs)

About the Role :

As a Firewall Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing our network infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining firewall solutions to protect our organization's assets from cyber threats.

Your expertise in firewall technologies and network security principles will be essential in safeguarding our sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, deploy, and manage firewall devices (Azure Firewall, SonicWall, Sophos, Meraki) to enforce security policies.

- Review and optimize firewall configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.

- Monitor firewall logs for security incidents and anomalies.

- Design and implement network segmentation strategies to isolate critical systems and reduce the attack surface.

- Configure firewall rules to enforce network segmentation policies.

- Work with network engineers to ensure seamless integration of firewall solutions with other network components.

- Develop and implement security policies and standards.

- Enforce security best practices and industry standards.

- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

- Develop Terraform scripts to automate firewall deployment in Azure.

- Investigate security incidents and perform forensic analysis to identify root causes.

- Collaborate with security teams to implement corrective actions and prevent future incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of network security principles and concepts.

- Expertise in firewall technologies (Azure Firewall, SonicWall, Sophos, Meraki).

- Experience with network segmentation and access control.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).

- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Specific Tasks :

- Ring-fence Azure resources and subscriptions to isolate critical systems.

- Support the setup of firewalls for Laura's specific requirements.

- Develop and implement Terraform scripts to automate firewall deployment in Azure.

- Assess and standardize firewall setups across all PharmaLex environments
