Position Summary:
WS Audiology is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Zonal Sales Manager to lead and drive sales growth within the West India region (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa). This role is pivotal in achieving our ambitious sales targets and expanding our market presence in this critical region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the medical device, dental, or B2B industry, coupled with proven experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of the West India market, aligned with the overall company objectives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends.
- Formulate detailed sales plans, including target setting, resource allocation, and activity scheduling, to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base within the assigned zone.
2. Sales Budgeting & Execution:
- Develop and manage the zonal sales budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and maximizing ROI.
- Monitor and control sales expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Drive the execution of the sales plan through effective team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Implement and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Sales Team Management & Development:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals across multiple regions within the zone, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.
- Ensure the team is adequately trained on product knowledge, sales techniques and company processes.
4. Sales Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate accurate and timely sales reports, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Analyze sales data to identify key performance indicators, project sales forecasts, and determine profitability.
- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.
- Present sales reports and analysis to senior management, providing recommendations for strategic adjustments.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, retailers, and healthcare professionals.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential new customers, expanding the company's customer base.
- Ensure adherence to customer service standards and protocols.
6. Sales Goal Setting & Monitoring:
- Set clear and achievable sales goals for individual team members and the overall zone.
- Monitor progress against sales goals, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure targets are met.
- Implement performance improvement plans as needed to address underperformance.
7. New Customer Acquisition:
- Develop and implement targeted plans to acquire new customers within the assigned zone.
- Identify and evaluate potential new market segments and customer groups.
- Lead the development of proposals and presentations to attract new customers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10-12 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in the Medical Device, Dental, or B2B industry.
- Proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams (minimum of 5 direct reports).
- Strong understanding of the West India market, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa.
