MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) Engineer

As an MPLS Engineer, you will:

• Network Design & Implementation:
  • Design and deploy MPLS networks to meet business requirements and support high-availability services.
  • Configure and maintain MPLS Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs, Traffic Engineering (TE), and Quality of Service (QoS).
  • Integrate MPLS with routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Network Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Monitor network performance using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or Wireshark to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal service levels.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices in MPLS networks, including access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies for network security and data protection.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes.
  • Create network topology diagrams and technical manuals to support operations and future upgrades.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network architects, system administrators, and security analysts, to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve hardware and connectivity issues.
