Job Description

Job Summary

As a Functional Test Engineer at WN Infotech, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet their functional requirements and provide a high-quality user experience. You will develop and execute test plans and cases, identify and document defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and verify fixes. Your work will help ensure the reliability and functionality of our software solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute functional test plans and test cases based on product specifications and user requirements.
Perform functional testing to validate that the software meets its intended design and performs as expected.
Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and verification of fixes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective issue resolution.
Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide feedback on software quality and readiness.
Continuously improve functional testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in functional testing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong understanding of functional testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Experience with functional testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestRail, or QTP/UFT.

Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 0 to 5 years of experience in functional testing and quality assurance.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing functional test plans and test cases.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level Certification in Software Testing would be advantageous.
