Wheelseye Technology - Application Security Engineer (1-6 yrs)

Why is it required (need for the role) :

As we scale our application portfolio, the security of our web and mobile applications, alongside cloud infrastructure, is paramount. This role is essential to strengthen our automated security testing processes, enhance secure coding practices, and integrate robust security mechanisms into the development lifecycle.

Skills required for the role :

- Expertise in security frameworks (OWASP Top 10, SANS TOP 25).

- Hands-on experience in automated security testing tools and frameworks.

- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and threat modeling.

- Familiarity with cloud security principles and automation.

- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure security.

- Manual Security assessment capabilities

Essential Experience :

- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in web, Android, and iOS application security testing within microservice architectures.

- Proficiency in using tools like SAST, DAST, Burp Suite, ZAP, and others for static and dynamic security testing.

- Practical experience in cloud security automation within AWS or similar cloud environments.

- Strong programming skills (Python, Shell, etc.) and experience integrating security tools in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
