Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science,
or a related field.
3+ years of experience working on data science projects.
Must have 2+ years working in forecasting; experience in the retail space preferred.
Experience in developing advanced algorithms using statistical and optimization
methods to enhance various business components in the retail sector.
Hands-on experience with forecasting models, running simulations of what-if analysis, and prescriptive analytics.
Experience creating business impact in supply chain, merchandise, inventory planning, or vendor management using advanced forecasting techniques.
Advanced proficiency in modern analytics tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL.
proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Microstrategy, or similar.
Advanced proficiency using SQL for efficient manipulation of large datasets in on-premises and cloud distributed computing environments, such as GCP and Azure.
Ability to work both at a detailed level as well as summarize findings and extrapolate knowledge to make strong recommendations for change.
Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
