Head of Video Production and Content
You will lead a video production team of editors, instructional designers, and quality assurance professionals and be responsible for the timely and accurate end to end production and delivery of critical video content for Great Learning's portfolio of programs.
Responsibilities include:
1. Provide leadership, support and guidance to a team of video editors, instructional designers and quality assurance staff.
2. Ensure smooth daily collaboration between your video production team and the subject matter expert team who design the learning content that will be made into instructional videos.
3. Manage and maintain prompt, thorough, professional communication with all team members, other departments, vendors and other stakeholders throughout all phases of a project to ensure milestones are established and met.
4. Oversee team leads and managers in your team and ensure optimal work allocation and efficiency.
5. Manage several editing assignments concurrently and report on their progress weekly to leadership.
6. Ensure the team adheres to IP and IT asset security guidelines and best practices.
Be open to sharing ideas, concepts, and best practices with marketing and other content teams.
7. Offer and receive criticism and critique equally well to help constantly raise our team's quality bar.
8. Deliver final projects on schedule.
9. Provide key data to management about projects.
10. Escalate clearly any blockers you encounter that will impact the project timeline.
11. Compile and send monthly reports and metrics about team performance for review by management.
12. Manage attrition and retain top talent in the team
13. Drive decisions about improvements for team post-production workflows and technology adoption.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 10+ years of experience in video/media production.
2. Strong knowledge of video post-production process, workflow and software. A working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or alternate NLEs such as Davinci Resolve, Final Cut is required
3. Demonstrated experience leading a team of video professionals in a professional environment.
4. Able to conduct themselves in a professional environment.
5. Able to manage editing many projects at once.
6. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
7. Ability to collaborate with remote team members via electronic communication.
8. Demo reel or examples of work portfolio.
