- Vellko Media is seeking candidates as Sr Accountant with strong educational backgrounds and some corporate experience in AP, finalization of statements, and handling all the processes of the Company.
Position Summary:
- Finalization of Accounts and preparation of Financial Statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards; Lead the monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting.
- Proficient in account reconciliations with a high volume of financial transactions and data
- Work with External Auditors for statutory reporting and help with audit/ tax compliance.
- Own all financial books and records, ensuring timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
- Working closely with the plant head and VP of Operations for understanding upcoming purchases and creating cash flow needs.
- You will be working with stores and reconciling inventory positions to help understand the cost of goods sold.
- Develop, lead, and maintain relationships with external auditors, insurance providers, banks, and other vendors and key stakeholders
- Continuous process improvements to enhance reporting.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table) and working with large/complex data sets.
- Filings GST/PT/TDS returns.
- Handle payroll, give inputs and ensure timely payroll disbursement.
- Assist in the monthly close process for teamcost accounting tasks, including reconciliation of inventory, calculation of Invoicing.
- Provide technical guidance, and ensure consistent application of cost accounting principles on the manufacturing site
- Lead the strategic direction for Cost Accounting
- Develop new, robust processes to drive productivity in the cost accounting function and drive continuous improvement
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure clients consistently receive service excellence in line with our service standards
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all clientfinancial matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable taxation and other relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Develops a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts;
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; and advising management on needed actions.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of accounting experience within the corporate/business sector.
- Hands-on experience in AP, and AR using Zoho Accounts Accounting.
- Education background with either a Bacheloror Masters in Commerce.
- Knowledge of GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ), US Accounting, and Taxation process.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
- Must be a CPA candidate or CPA enrolled.
- Good English communication skills.
- 3+ years of accounting experience within the corporate/business sector.
