L3 Linux Administrator (7-10 yrs)

Linux/Unix L3/Lead :

Job responsibilities :

- Hands On Experience on RHEL 6/7/8/9, SuSE Linux 11/12/15 with good knowledge on administering VMs using VMware ESXi and Azure public cloud infra.

- Should be well versed with the patching processes, techniques, and mechanisms.

- Hands On Experience in configuration of LDAP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, NFS and Samba.

- Experience in managing user accounts, security, rights, disk space, and process monitoring in Red Hat Linux and SUSE Linux.

- Experience in implementing and administering Linux based storage manager such as LVM.

- Experience in file systems like EXT2, EXT3, XFS, UFS, OCFS, OCFS2, and other journaling filesystems.

- Ensure that daily operations are carried out without interruptions, make sure that tasks are prioritized with aim to meet customer requirements.

- Responsible to provide timely, accurate and comprehensive updates to management and on-site counterpart and customers.

- Ensure that all SLA are strictly adhered too, make sure that team is refreshed timely on deadlines and SLA targets.

- Review the operations of Admins, provide them constructive feedback for technical and wholesome development.

- Responsible for engaging admins in development programs and trainings.

- Guide and educate Admins for enhanced responsibilities and roles.

- Create a learning atmosphere in the team, instill a culture of learn- enhance- perform in the team.

- Make sure knowledge documentation is timely and proper.

- Shift management and ensure operations stability in all conditions.

- Utilize Microsoft Defender portal to identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities.

- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments for Unix systems.

- Manage patch deployment and ensure timely updates.

- Analyze vulnerabilities and work with the team to develop effective mitigation strategies.

- Maintain detailed records and prepare vulnerability reports.

- This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting vulnerability assessments, managing patch deployments, and contributing to adhoc response efforts.

Experience on Azure Cloud :

- Experience in handling crisis calls from Linux ops end.

- Experience with Service now ticketing tool.

- Hands on Experience with Scripting and automation.
