Electrician - Ferro Alloys Unit

Role & responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical machinery and equipment across various departments to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly, including those related to motors, cranes, panels, and power distribution systems.
• Utility Operations: Oversee the operation and maintenance of utility machines during assigned shifts, ensuring uninterrupted support to production processes.
• LT/HT Line Management: Manage and maintain Low Tension (LT) and High Tension (HT) electrical lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce all electrical safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and inventory of spare parts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to junior electricians and coordinating efforts to achieve maintenance objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: ITI/NCVT certification in Electrical Trade.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in the steel or ferro alloys industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in handling LT/HT lines, electrical panels, motors, cranes, and general electrical maintenance tasks.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and protocols.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
