Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Section Head for our Weldshop Machine Maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance of welding machines. This role requires leadership capabilities to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of machinery in the weldshop, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance activities of all weldshop machines, ensuring both electrical and mechanical systems are running efficiently.
• Lead, manage, and supervise a team of maintenance personnel.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the weldshop.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring maintenance issues and implement solutions.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports and documentation.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability of materials required for maintenance.
• Liaise with external vendors and suppliers for machinery parts, services, and repairs.
• Train and mentor junior staff in proper maintenance techniques and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in weldshop machine maintenance, with expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of welding machines and associated equipment.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, their components, and maintenance processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Education:

• A degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
