Job Description

1. Analyse the development and understand the nature of the Electric Vehicle Powertrain market eco-system.

2. Identify and report business opportunities in the targeted segments: EV OEM's Including 2-W, 3-W, LCV, Bus, Trucks, Passenger cars & Retro fitment etc.

3. Lead strategies and execution of business development activities, customer acquisition, and post-sales customer engagement

4. Develop and manage ongoing relationships with key stakeholders/customers in order to identify and deliver solutions that benefit both parties

5. Coordinate and manage technical and commercial bid preparation.

6. Ensure identified opportunities and subsequent tender submissions align with business systems, governance & strategy.

7. Assist the commercial team with insights and benchmarks to ensure competitiveness.

8. Develop strong relationships with key customers by acting as account manager.

9. Coordinate and manage technical and commercial bid preparation.

10. Achieve sales targets and revenue as defined by the business leadership.

11. Meet sales and development targets forecasted aligning with financial objectives.

12. Lead new developing programs by providing technical intelligence for e-mobility applications.

13. Contribute to the Technical Solution process which consists of Initial technical promotion, finding and understanding customer needs, registration of the products and support for approval and certification at customer.

14. Develops in conjunction with the Marketing Department, customer targets and their applications for development.

15. Identify, investigate and follow up on qualified leads and develop business for potential customers in key market segments.

16. Plan and execute regular customer visits to existing and potential customers to identify and manage needs and expectations.

17. Stay abreast of EV market trends, competitor activities, and developing innovations.

18. Develop, negotiate, and monitor contracts and pricing strategy for new and existing business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Responsible for initiating and coordinating activities that create new business related to Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrains.

2. Responsible for development of sales to EV powertrain accounts, understanding and identification of additional growth areas at new and existing accounts, making product innovation recommendations supported by market and business cases to win resources and launch new products.

3. Understand and advise the leadership on the market dynamics, changes, growth and other market driven factors for the changing powertrains.

4. Establish and develop relationships and activities that increase new business opportunities in quantity, quality and magnitude.

5. Work closely with Global Market Specialists, Managers, Directors, Technical and Manufacturing resources to ensure timely completion of Business Development initiatives in support of Business Growth Strategies and develop opportunities into routine sales.

6. Identify and develop new sales and profit opportunities in the Automotive and Mobility market segment specifically for Electric Vehicle powertrains.

7. Define the requirements of potential new customers and related applications upon which business development efforts are focused.

8. Ensure that the business development process is followed to adequately define target opportunity requirements.

9. Report status and progress of EV automotive sales activities and development projects

10. Plan, organize (incl. milestones) and lead selected key business development, technical, and sales projects.
