We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with expertise in managing and supervising workers within the sheet metal fabrication sector, particularly in the decorative lighting industry. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, familiarity with dyes and tool room operations, as well as proficiency in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fabrication processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving productivity within our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Leadership:
   
• Lead and oversee a team of workers engaged in sheet metal fabrication for decorative lighting products.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members to optimize their performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Effectively manage staffing levels, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
2. Production Management:
   
• Plan and prioritize production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency targets.
• Implement strategies to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce waste in the fabrication process.
3. Technical Expertise:
   
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, forming, and welding processes.
• Proficiently operate and oversee CNC machinery used in sheet metal fabrication, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and maintenance.
• Possess knowledge of dyes and tool room operations to support the fabrication process effectively.
4. Quality Assurance:
   
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the fabrication process to identify and address any deviations or defects.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
   
• Foster open communication channels between production teams, management, and other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize fabrication processes, improve product design for manufacturability, and introduce innovations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in a supervisory role within the sheet metal fabrication industry, preferably in decorative lighting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, CNC machinery, and tool room operations.
• Familiarity with dyes and their application in the fabrication process is desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
