Job Description

Uber is looking for a Sr. Application Developer to join our Enterprise Applications team to help us innovate, manage and lead SaaS applications that power collaboration and crucial operations throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, structured problem solver, with ability to technically lead a pod of engineers on the direction of solving strategies and is passionate about optimizing configurations to maximize employee experience.

You will manage, own and monitor multiple SaaS applications and play an active role in leading and designing the portfolio of applications available for use at Uber

As a Senior SaaS Applications Developer, you will apply your technical experience in demystifying OKR and strategies and leading the team in reviewing the existing applications configurations to uncover opportunities and problems, test and measure solutions, and surface insights to drive transformative changes

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

Bring 8+ years of hands-on SaaS applications administration experience, Slack or Zoom (Any one application)
Design build and optimize SaaS applications experience for B2B teams
Be proficient in designing and architecting tasks for integrating applications with REST API (Python, JSON, HTML, XLT, PHP).
Have experience with renewal processes, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills to evolve the application strategy based on research, data, and industry trends
Update and maintain technical documentation for business and compliance purpose.
Follow SDLC practices throughout the SaaS app lifecycle
Engage in designing technical and operational excellence, pushing innovation with security, reliability, and quality
Have a willingness to self-train on new technologies.
Be organized, driven, diligent and be creative.
Work with geographically remote teams and business partners.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

8+ years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems maintenance, engineering, and architecture.
8+ years Experience with SaaS applications super Admin or Admin role
Manage design and enable system configurations for multiple SaaS applications. Some tools you may be using and supporting: Zoom or Slack etc
Possess experience in identifying opportunities to reduce SaaS spending by eliminating redundant applications and deactivating unused accounts, resulting in improved operational efficiencies.
Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert for a pod on applications configurations and integrations, licensing details, current usage.
Be aware of user bases and their most common use cases and needs within the application to help drive and execute decisions on what applications Uber should invest in, maintain as-is, replace, or retire.
Partner with the Engineering Security (EngSec) team to identify the risks associated with business applications and add the controls necessary to mitigate the risks.
Identify automation and optimization opportunities across the application lifecycle management.
Collaborate with the IT Operations team to troubleshoot escalated issues.
Develop and document standards for the administration of the applications.
Lead junior colleagues, sharing processes, skills, and experience with others to help up-skill the entire team.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

Demonstrate experience integrating SaaS applications with other tools (ie Jira, SNOW, Salesforce, Figma, Lucidchart, Surveymonkey, Adobe, etc)
Demonstrate experience with implementing DLP (data loss protection) and Data Retention strategies and requirements.
Demonstrate experience with implementing SAML, SCIM configurations.
Demonstrate experience with SSO configuration with Okta.
Knowledgeable security practices and engagement insights.
Well practiced in writing ERDs (Engineering Review Documents), SOPs, & Company Processes.
Proven leadership and ability to SaaS architecture, support and triage.
Working knowledge of Jira Agile, Scrum, Sprints, Story writing and sizing.
