About the job :
- The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for design, development, deployment and maintenance of all IT Infrastructure solutions.
- This role requires one to work the US Hours, starting 6 PM to 3 AM IST.
- This role will frequently contribute to global projects involving many other IT resources in a collaborative effort.
- The ideal candidate will be self-driven and goal-oriented, with a strong passion for technology and self-growth.
- This role will include analysis, design and implementation of Microsoft solutions in a global enterprise environment.
- A strong background with Windows server OS, VMware 6.7 and above, SAN administration, Azure server administration, clustering/load balancing in both on-prem and cloud solutions and various scripting languages are all required for this position.
- This position will be joining a highly functional support team.
- Candidates should enjoy mentoring, training and collaborating with other team members to be successful in this role.
- Will frequently lead IT projects, including assigning tasks, communicating with vendors and taking direction from Lead and Sr.Director.
Responsibilities :
- Strong administrative skills with VMware 6.7 and above, Windows OS 2012 and above, including clustering and load balancing
- In-depth knowledge and administration of Azure cloud infrastructure and Security
- Design, implement and maintain infrastructure solutions for new projects and tasks
- Maintain consistent hardware/software patch levels and firmware
- Deploy and maintain Windows servers and storage SANs in accordance with best practices in security, sustainability and other scopes
- Proficiency with Managing users/security/email in Active Directory and Azure AD/O365
- Administer storage SANs and dedicated storage disks for all company data
- Respond to higher tiered incidentals and after-hours calls and alerts from server/network notification system as required.
- Manage and monitor backups and disaster recovery
- Create and maintain all relevant documentation for SOPs, processes and policies
What You'll Bring :
- Must have at least 5 years of hands-on work experience in PowerShell/VB Script/SQL/Windows Shell scripting.
- TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, DHCP options.
- Microsoft Exchange/Office 365, Azure Administration.
- Managing servers/storage/backups/security.
- Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy management.
- Office 365/Azure, Exchange Administration.
- VMware, SAN and virtual storage management.
- Experience with Security such as SIEM, DLP, NIST, ISO 27001 Security standards.
- Create and manage documentation for process and procedures.
Required Skills :
- Advance level of proficiency is required in Azure/Windows Server administration and security.
- Advance level of proficiency is required in Exchange/Office365, Entra ID, Email security administration.
- Advance level of proficiency is required in TCP/IP, subnetting, AD/DNS, DHCP, VMWare/Azure Server, storage management, Disaster recovery and daily backup management.
- Intermediate level of proficiency is required in PowerShell/Graph AD and O365 scripting, managing iSCSI/Fiber channel storages SANs.
- Creating and managing Database and Virtualization clusters.
- Office 365/Azure, Exchange Administration.
- VMware, SAN and virtual storage management.
- Experience with Security such as SIEM, DLP, NIST, ISO 27001 Security standards.
