The Storekeeper Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store or warehouse, managing inventory control, and ensuring that all stock is stored, handled, and distributed efficiently. This role involves supervising storekeeping staff, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Supervision of Store Operations :
Oversee the daily activities of the store or warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and effective management of staff.
Train, mentor, and evaluate storekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices and procedures.
Inventory Management :
Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
Coordinate the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods, ensuring that all stock is correctly accounted for.
Quality Control :
Ensure that all received items meet quality standards and specifications before acceptance into inventory.
Implement and maintain procedures for handling damaged or expired products.
Order Fulfillment :
Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure stock levels align with customer demand.
Safety and Compliance :
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational policies regarding storage and handling of materials.
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that staff follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Record Keeping :
Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies to management.
Facility Management :
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the storage area, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of storage equipment and systems as needed.
Problem Solving :
Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies, issues with stock deliveries, or employee concerns related to store operations.
Implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs in storekeeping operations.
Key Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience : 2 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills :
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
