Data Architect

Role & responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture solutions based on business requirements.
• Design and optimize data storage, modeling, and integration strategies.
• Create Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models (OLTP, OLAP, Dimensional Models).
• Architect end-to-end data solutions on data lakes, warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Lead data governance, data security, and data quality initiatives.
• Develop best practices and reusable frameworks for data processing and analytics.
• Participate in defining data strategy and roadmaps for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data architecture for performance and scalability.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Data Architecture Principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and database design.
• Experience in data integration, data migration, and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.
• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services like Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing design and implementation.
• Understanding of data architecture patterns (Data Ingestion, Curation, Consumption, Reporting).
• Experience with DataOps, DevOps, and Agile Methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for monitoring and resolving data issues.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Knowledge of Data Fabric, Data Lineage, and Data Security frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Familiarity with automating data quality checks and validation processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other scripting languages.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering.
• Experience in leading data projects and collaborating with multiple teams.
