Data Modeller

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business processes.
• Work with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Define and enforce data standards, governance, and best practices.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and documentation.
• Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
• Collaborate with data warehouse and BI teams to support reporting and analytics.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to improve data quality and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, Power Designer, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Any other related certification is added advantage.
