BI Developer - Power BI

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL, cloud databases, APIs, Excel, etc.).

Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query for performance and efficiency. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in reports and dashboards.

Develop and maintain data models, datasets, and measures in Power BI.

Work closely with stakeholders to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.

Implement row-level security and access controls for Power BI reports.

Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Dataflows).
• Experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to analyze complex data and present clear insights to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with cloud BI solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience integrating Power BI with third-party tools and APIs.
• Power BI or Microsoft Data Analytics certification.
