Job Description

About the Learning and Development Department:

The company places special importance on skill development and learning. The Learning and Development (L&D) department is responsible for effectively and efficiently delivering the upskilling needs of the company, ranging from diverse technical subjects to innovative managerial and leadership subjects. The learning journeys are designed such that they guide trainees through the four stages of the competency cycle. The Facilitation function of the L&D department is responsible for deployment of training programs conceived and developed by the sister functions, Consultancy and Content Management.


Role & responsibilities

Owning Learning & Development Strategy and Approach:

  • Understanding the leaderships expectations from the Learning and Development department and devising the strategy and approach to accomplish such objectives
  • Defining and understanding the needs of each user department, designing learning journeys, directing courseware development, delivering training, gathering feedback, and revisiting the entire plan based on the feedback received

Operations and Processes:

  • Defining and upgrading the processes which the department will use to deliver its services, especially within a fast-growing and evolving company like TresVista
  • Including the best practices around services, key process flows, templates and reports, timelines, and communication cadence

Leadership and Team Management

  • Defining the L&D team structure, roles, and responsibilities at each level. The department currently has thirteen members split between individual contributors, project managers and team/function managers
  • Establishing a clear vision and direction for the L&D function

Alignment to Company Culture and Objectives

  • It is critical for all employees to understand, appreciate, and align with the values of high performance, high accountability, and high value-add. This applies not just to individuals but also to departments
  • The Learning & Development department is expected to promote such alignment through its services and solutions across the company

Preferred candidate profile

  • 12 - 15 years of experience in senior positions of L&D functions for large organizations or in the education space
  • Hands-on experience in managing learning journeys (creating training plans, dealing with courseware, scheduling, and conducting training sessions)
  • Experience dealing with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technology-driven platforms for L&D
  • Team management and leadership, including building and leading a high-performing L&D team, providing coaching and mentorship to foster professional growth
  • Inter-department and cross function collaboration, especially with key stakeholders across the company to jointly accomplish business goals

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial services industry (private equity, private credit, hedge funds, investment banking, advisory)
  • MBA in HR or other relevant L&D certifications

Compensation:

The compensation structure will be as per industry standards
