The NROM is responsible for driving the retail excellence for the brand through more than x stores with an area coverage of x sq. ft. spread across more than x towns. With the entry of big foreign players, the Indian organized retail market has become more competitive in terms of implementing newer business models on the operational format, location pricing, and in terms of efficiency.

The key challenges of the role include:

1. Interacting with the various departments of retail, buying & merchandising, VM and projects for driving common objectives.

2. Need for speed in the marketplace/ ability to take quick decisions.

3. Providing a consistent quality service catering to the demands of all customers is a key challenge due to the spread of retail. To attain this there is a need to hire right people, staff other locations, train them and rely on them to do the job right.

4. Loss prevention strategies and programs to be promoted for preventing shrinkage.

5. Create systems & processes for the vast and valuable information from stores to:

- Collect it quickly, reliably, and efficiently.

- Analyze it to make sense of the past and plan future decisions.

- Distribute it to the right people in the organization so they can act on it.

- Effective & influential relationship building to drive Franchisee Management.
