Transformer Service Engineer - Abroad (Oman )

*Role & responsibilities

Technical Oversight for Transformer Repair and Overhauling:

( Location On-site OMAN)

• Lead repair and overhauling activities for distribution and power transformers.
• Conduct root cause analysis for faults and ensure timely resolution.
• Supervise the inspection, repair, and replacement of transformer components such as windings, cores, and insulation.

On-Site Maintenance and Monitoring:

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on transformers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and recommendations for improvements.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Perform high-voltage tests, insulation resistance tests, and load tests.
• Validate transformer performance against industry standards and specifications.
• Oversee final commissioning to ensure optimal operational readiness.

Project Coordination and Team Management:

• Manage on-site technicians and ensure efficient execution of maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to address technical concerns.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and operational challenges.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance:

• Implement best practices for transformer repair and maintenance.
• Stay updated on the latest industry standards and technological advancements.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years in transformer repair, overhauling, and maintenance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of transformer diagnostics, testing, and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC and ANSI.
