Database Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement database solutions using PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle Database 23c.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages in PL/SQL.
• Utilize Oracle Database 23c's AI features (e.g., machine learning models, graph database capabilities) to enhance database functionality and performance.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and other techniques.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation rules and constraints.
• Collaborate with application developers to design database schemas and APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Perform database administration tasks, such as backups, restores, and user management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle Database features, updates, and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of database standards and best practices within the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in database development using PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle Database (preferably including experience with version 23c or a recent version).
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and principles.
• Experience with database design and data modeling.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Familiarity with Oracle Database 23c's AI capabilities (e.g., machine learning, graph database).
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
