PD manager

The Product Development Manager Home Textiles is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and execution of innovative home textile products. This role involves market research, product innovation, sourcing, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful product launches that align with business goals and consumer trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept to production, ensuring quality, functionality, and marketability.
• Market Research: Analyze industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to identify new opportunities.
• Material & Sourcing Management:Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Design & Innovation: Work closely with design teams to develop aesthetically appealing and functional textile products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet quality standards, sustainability requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Vendor & Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing, production timelines, and quality control.
• Project Management: Track development timelines, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Customer Feedback & Improvement:Gather insights from customers and sales teams to refine and enhance product offerings.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Product Development, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the home textiles industry.
• Strong knowledge of textile materials, production processes, and sourcing strategies.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly textile innovations.
• Knowledge of global textile regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work with international suppliers and manage offshore production.
