Thermal Project - Railway Siding and Logistics

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualization of handling the entire gamut of activities related to construction, commissioning & project management for development of new Railway siding for coal transportation for greenfield project/brownfield projects.
• Preparing tender documents for appointment of consultant for identifying the suitable agency for preparing DPR of new railway siding
• Able to understand engineering design, Engineering Scale Plan (ESP), Layout Plan (LOP), Overhead Equipment of electrification (OHE) and Signaling & Telecommunication (S&T) System, Signal Interlocking Plan (SIP)
• Liasoning with Railway/Local Authorities for obtaining necessary permission for Approval of Feasibility report, DPR, ESP, LOP, SIP & RTC from concerned railway officials.
• Deep understanding of various policy/scheme of Railways for establishment of new railway sidings
• Floating enquiries, communication & coordination and conducting negotiations with various consultancy & service provider for technical evaluation of the offers and prepare comparative statement for vendor evaluation
• Signing & Execution of Railway siding agreement
• Develop SOP for up & down rake movement, signaling & interlocking, Rake placement & formation, operation of locomotive & shunting, track maintenance etc
• Optimizing the overall cost of the project & ensuring completion of project in time bound manner
• Hands on experience of O&M of overall Railway sidings like track, OHE, S&T, Locomotive maintenance etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors in engineering preferably having Railway engineering/Rail Transportation Management
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in project management for development of new Railway siding
