Cloud Data Administrator (App Service Plan)

Our clients BI Development Team is migrating its BI landscape to Azure Cloud and implementing Microsoft’s "Enterprise-Scale for Analytics and AI" in a Data Landing Zone. As a Cloud Data Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Application Servers (PaaS) and ensuring seamless performance. Join our Global BI Admin Team and contribute to cutting-edge cloud solutions!

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy & Manage: Set up Application Service Plans (ASP) using Terraform.
• Azure Function Support: Provide new Azure Functions and App Service Apps as per BI Developer Team requests.
• 3rd Party App Deployment: Deploy vendor applications on App Service Plans.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance server performance using Azure Load Testing, Application Insights, and diagnostic logging.
• Scaling & Health Checks: Implement automatic scaling (scale up/scale out) and set up health checks for Azure Functions and Apps.
• Security & Access Control: Manage user accounts, access permissions, and enforce security best practices like OAuth2 authentication.
• Technical Support: Assist BI Developers in configuring settings, setting up triggers, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
• Documentation & Future Planning: Maintain server setup, configurations, and connectivity documents, and strategize for future growth & scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in Azure environments (Preferred: AZ-104 & AZ-204 certifications).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Application Service Plans or similar environments.
• 3+ years of coding experience in Python, ASP.NET, Node.js, or Java.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of Azure Services – Application Service Plans, Azure Functions, App Services, Azure Monitor, Azure Load Testing, Application Insights, Azure Container Instances.
• Deep understanding of performance tuning, asynchronous processing, and multi-worker processing.
• Soft Skills:
• High motivation to collaborate and help teams succeed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
