Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Selenium/Java (5-7 yrs)

Job Title : QA Automation Engineer.

Experience : 5+ Years.

Location : Gurgaon.

Work Mode : Onsite.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.

- Implement and execute API automation testing using Rest Assured.

- Design, develop, and maintain Cucumber BDD test frameworks.

- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications and APIs.

- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.

- Identify, log, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g, JIRA).

- Ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines integrate automated tests.

- Optimize test cases for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Maintain and update test documentation and test reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation.

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation.

- Proficiency in Java for test script development.

- Experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured.

- Expertise in Cucumber BDD for behavior-driven development testing.

- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

- Experience with version control tools such as Git.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests in Jenkins/GitLab.

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.

- Knowledge of Cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

- Experience in working with databases and writing SQL queries.

- Exposure to mobile automation frameworks like Appium (if required).
