Physical Design Engineer - Static Timing Analysis (2-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a dynamic Physical Design Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in physical design, Static Timing Analysis (STA), and a strong inclination towards software and automation.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in physical implementation with proficiency in software-driven methodologies to enhance design efficiency and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive the physical design process from floor-planning through tape-out (TO) and timing sign-off, with a focus on automation.

- Develop and optimize scripts and software tools to automate physical design tasks, including power, clock, and signal integrity analysis.

- Prepare and execute complex Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for timing convergence using software-driven approaches.

- Implement deep sub-micron process technology nodes with advanced software techniques.

- Create reusable scripts and methodologies for high-performance and low-power design implementation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional software and design teams to integrate and validate new tools and workflows.

Desired Skills and Expertise :

Proficiency in industry-standard tools for physical design and software development :

- Physical Design Tools : Genus, Innovus, FC (Flow Compiler)

- Timing and Verification : Primetime (PT), Tempus

- Power and Thermal Analysis : Voltas, Redhawk

Strong expertise in software scripting and automation using :

- Languages : Perl, TCL, Python, Shell scripting

- Methodologies : CAD flow development, API integration, and automation frameworks

- Experience with deep sub-micron process technology nodes and timing sign-off methodologies.

- Familiarity with software version control (e.g, Git) and CI/CD practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience in software-based automation of design processes
