Job Description
- Good command over Indirect tax provisions specifically GST laws.
- Independently handle the IDT profile for Multiple States including Tax Compliances, managing the Tax Notices, Drafting of response to Tax Notices, interact regularly with Tax Offices, other stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of other indirect taxes like Customs, Exim policy etc
- Experience of handling large EPC projects from IDT perspective shall be preferred.
- General awareness about direct tax provisions (corporate tax international tax, withholding taxes) shall be an added advantage
- Ensure timely compliances i.e., filing of various tax returns tax payments across states well within time allowed by statue.
- Ensure effective utilization of Tax Credits
- Issue guidelines / tax updates which impacting the business to the stakeholders on regular basis.
- Handle Tax office queries, manage and prepare timely responses to Tax office Notices and interact with tax officers wherever needed.
- Managing Indirect tax refunds i.e. filing refund claims in time and follow up for refunds.
- Preparation of various reports summery for Management Information Systems related to GST including identifying potential Tax exposure if any and reporting in timely manner.
- Providing support with various internal audits, statutory audits, and special tax related projects.
- Coordinating with tax consultant, IT team and ERP team for smooth Tax functioning.
- Looking after all the GL related closing entry, adhering to corporate schedules for monthly closure of book.
- Indirect tax vetting of contracts at bid stage provide input to sales team.
- The candidate should be CA with minimum experience of 3-4 years post qualification.
- Semi qualified (CA Finalist) with 6-7 years experience will also work.
- If the candidate has worked 2-3 years in reputed Tax Advisory firms (including big 4) and 1-2 years in Industry will be most preferred.
- The candidate should have good interaction drafting skills.
