Associate Technical Project Manager / Jr. Technical Project Manager

Position: Associate TPM / Jr. TPM

Reports To: Senior Technology Program Manager

Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant to support our Technology Program Manager in managing Sprint Deployments and internal IT projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of project management processes, ticketing systems (preferably Jira), and a keen interest in learning new technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Technology Program Manager in coordinating and scheduling meetings between various team involved in software development and maintenance.
• Assist in writing and reviewing Infrastructure Project Plans.
• Monitor and prioritize Jira tickets, ensuring timely updates and adherence to workflows.
• Schedule Sprint deployments taking care of approved downtimes and provide periodic updates related to Sprint and hotfix deployments to stakeholders.
• Mediate between DEV, QA, and DevOps teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Engage in sprint, security team meetings, to help prioritize infrastructure tickets with the Product team.
• Document project reports, tracking project progress and identifying roadblocks.
• Coordinate with business and DevOps teams to schedule downtimes for maintenance activities.
• Communicate process information, downtimes, and project execution status to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and assist in eliminating roadblocks in project or task execution, ensuring smooth execution.
• Manage GIT access, including repository creation and access management.
• Support overall access management on various platforms as needed.
• Ensure Change management practices are followed for project and task execution.
• Foster a culture of adherence to processes and encourage team members to follow established workflows.

Must-Have Skills:

• Jira/ Confluence Proficiency: Experience with Jira for ticketing, managing workflows, and tracking project progress. Working on Confluence for Sprint, Project and Process documentation.
• Project Management Basics: Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and ability to assist in sprint planning and execution.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise between teams and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed documentation.
• Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of software development processes, including familiarity with DEV, QA, DevOps, and DBA roles.
• GIT Access Management: Experience with GIT for repository management and access control.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify roadblocks in projects and assist in finding solutions.
• Time Management: Strong ability to schedule meetings, coordinate downtime, and manage timelines effectively.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile Tools: Experience with other Agile project management tools (e.g. Trello, Asana, or similar).
• Reporting and Analytics: Experience in generating ticket and project reports and analyzing data for understanding and presenting overall health of Infra teams Operations.
• Access Management Platforms: Familiarity with access management systems and security protocols related to IT environments.
• Change Management: Understanding of change management processes and how to implement them effectively.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic environment.
