SAP S/4HANA SD Consultant - Implementation

Location: Kolkata / Pune (The candidate needs to be in Kolkata for 2 months)

Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA SD Consultant to lead and deliver implementation projects within India.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Sales and Distribution (SD) module, a deep understanding of GST, Indian business practices, and SAP S/4HANA capabilities, with a proven track record of successful domestic project deliveries.

Key Responsibilities & Project Implementation:

1. Requirements Gathering & Workshops:

• Conduct workshops with Indian clients to gather business and statutory requirements.
• Analyze and document business processes and propose optimized SAP solutions.

2. SAP S/4HANA SD Configuration:

• Configure core SD processes including Sales Orders, Pricing, Shipping, Delivery, and Billing.
• Implement specific functionalities for Indian requirements:
• GST compliance, tax determination, and reverse charge.
• E-Way Bills generation and reconciliation.
• TCS (Tax Collected at Source) and TDS scenarios for various industries.

3. Custom Enhancements:

• Develop Functional Specifications for custom reports, forms, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with ABAP and technical teams for development and testing of enhancements (e.g., GST filing reports or custom E-Way Bill integrations).

Business Process Expertise:

1. Map end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes tailored to Indian business operations.

2. Work on complex pricing scenarios, including discounts, freight, GST inclusive pricing, and industry-specific tax conditions.

3. Implement credit management processes aligned with client business policies.

Testing & Documentation:

1 Develop and execute detailed test scripts for Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

2 Ensure Indian statutory compliance in all processes, such as GST returns and E-Way Bill validation.

3 Prepare detailed documentation, including:

• Configuration guides.
• Business process flows.
• User training manuals and operational procedures.

Training & Project Go-Live:

1. Train end-users and business process owners on SAP SD functionalities and India-specific configurations.

2. Provide hands-on support during data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization.

3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Indian statutory processes.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

1. Core SD Knowledge:

• Expertise in Sales Order Processing, Shipping, Delivery, Billing, Credit Management, and Logistics Execution.
• Strong knowledge of Pricing Procedures, Condition Techniques, and Output Determination.

2. India Localization:

• Hands-on experience with GST configuration, including tax conditions, invoice formats, and reconciliation processes.
• Expertise in handling Indian localization requirements like TCS, E-Way Bills, and statutory reports.

3. Integration Skills:

• Strong understanding of MM for procurement and logistics integration.
• Experience in FICO integration for tax and financial postings, including GST credit utilization and payment terms.

4. S/4HANA Proficiency:

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA-specific functionalities like Business Partner (BP) management, Fiori apps, and Advanced ATP, Settlement Management, Credit Management.
• Exposure to Output Management using BRF+.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage Indian stakeholders effectively.

2. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address localization challenges.

Education:

1. Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

2. SAP certification in S/4HANA Sales (preferred).

Preferred Experience:

1. Experience working with Indian industries like Manufacturing, FMCG, or Retail.

2. Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology for domestic projects.

3. Knowledge of EDI/IDoc configuration specific to Indian supply chain requirements.

Work Environment:

Location: Based in India with occasional travel to client sites within the country.

Travel: Willingness to travel to various locations in India as per project needs.
