Sr. Purchase Engineer

• Selection of Vendors, Negotiations & Finalization of prices.
• Costing of Components and Material
• Develop alternate sources for various components & material
• Coordinate with Inward Quality to improve the quality of purchases.
• Implement programs for continuous product quality and cost
• Builds and maintains relationships with vendors
• Develop a purchasing strategy
• Reviews and processes purchase orders
• Maintains records of goods ordered and received
• Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, connectivity, and price
• Schedules deliveries and ensures timely completion of orders
• Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services
• Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and regulate supply needs
• Travels to vendor locations if required
• Stays up-to-date with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary
  

Preferred candidate profile

B.Com, Diploma / BE Mechanical with 4-6 years of hands-on experience with a manufacturing

organization in the Purchase Department

Certification in supply chain management is preferred

Experience in the procurement of engineering components and packaging consumables will

be an added advantage
