Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Government Sales Manager to drive business growth within the Haryana region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of government procurement processes, strong relationships with key decision-makers, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the government sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of navigating complex bureaucratic environments and securing long-term contracts.
Responsibilities:
Government Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, departments, and agencies at the state and local levels in Haryana.
- Identify and qualify potential government opportunities through proactive research, networking, and market analysis.
- Understand and navigate the government procurement process, including tenders, RFPs, and direct purchases.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to government clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
Tender Management:
- Identify and analyze government tenders and RFPs relevant to the company's products/services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to prepare and submit compliant and competitive tender responses.
- Manage the entire tender process, from pre-bid meetings to contract award.
Relationship Building & Networking:
- Attend industry events, conferences, and government forums to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Represent the company professionally and ethically in all interactions with government clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevent governemnt policies and regulations.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and company policies.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- 7-12 years of proven experience in government sales, preferably in the Haryana region.
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
- Established network of contacts within the Haryana government sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
- Fluency in Hindi and English is essential.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of e-procurement platforms.
- Familiarity with government funding and budgeting processes.
