Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet & Logistics Partner Management

• Oversee and manage the companys vehicle fleet to ensure efficient transportation of goods.
• Identify and collaborate with reliable logistics partners to optimize delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, maintenance schedules, and safety standards for all vehicles.

Container Booking & Shipping Coordination

• Manage and monitor container bookings, ensuring timely placement based on commercial team requirements.
• Track shipping schedules, sailing updates, and estimated time of arrivals (ETAs), ensuring smooth coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.co
• Communicate and resolve any shipping delays or disruptions with logistics service providers.

FOB & CNF Management

• Optimize Freight on Board (FOB) charges to ensure cost-effective shipping solutions.
• When requested by buyers, manage Cost and Freight (CNF) logistics, ensuring seamless end-to-end transportation.
• Coordinate with clearing and forwarding (C&F) agents to manage documentation and customs clearance processes efficiently.

Negotiations & Cost Optimization

• Collaborate with the commercial team to understand specific logistics requirements and execute plans accordingly.
• Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and warehouse service providers to achieve the best rates and service levels.
• Identify opportunities to optimize logistics costs while maintaining service reliability and compliance.

Operational Efficiency & Compliance

• Ensure that all shipments comply with international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
• Implement best practices for logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
• Maintain records of logistics transactions, cost analyses, and shipment tracking for internal reporting.
