Electrical Manager
1) Manage and lead a team of electricians, engineers, and technicians, ensuring that all members are trained, motivated, and aligned with the companys goals.
2) Ensure that the team has the necessary resources, tools, and training to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
3) Set performance targets for the team, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work.
4) Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of electrical projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
5) Prepare and manage budgets for electrical projects, track expenditures, and ensure cost-efficiency.
6) Create project timelines, allocate tasks, and manage the schedule to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
7) Work with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and services for projects.
8) Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely.
9) Identify and resolve any electrical system faults or issues, either by leading the troubleshooting process or providing guidance to the team.
10) Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to avoid system downtime and reduce the risk of equipment failure.
11) Adhere to local, state, and national safety codes and regulations. Ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, minimizing risks to workers and the environment.
12) Provide safety training to staff to ensure they are aware of best practices, emergency procedures, and how to handle electrical hazards.
13) Implement quality control processes to ensure that all electrical installations and repairs are completed to the highest standard.
14) Oversee the design of electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and power distribution systems for new buildings or renovation projects.
15) Provide technical guidance and expertise on electrical engineering principles and practices to ensure effective system design and implementation.
16) Work on optimizing electrical systems for energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
17) Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, projects, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections.
18) Prepare regular reports on project progress, team performance, system performance, and safety audits.
19) Ensure that all electrical installations and operations are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
20) Research new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and sustainability of electrical systems.
21) Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging professional development and technical training for the team.
22) Identify areas for improvement in electrical operations, design, and processes to increase productivity and safety.
23) Work closely with other departments, such as mechanical engineering, Production, and Instrumentation, to ensure smooth project execution.
24) When necessary, liaise with clients or external partners to discuss project requirements, progress, and resolve issues.
25) Provide regular updates to upper management on the status of electrical department activities, team performance, and system issues.
26) All the roles and responsibilities are applicable across all SLN group concerns and include any other responsibilities allocated by the reporting manager from time to time.
27) Operate within the allocated departmental budget and ensure timely provisions for expenses. Any deviations from the approved budget must be authorized through the proper channels.
28) Adhere to the SLN Code of Conduct issued on December 1, 2024, and ensure that all team members under your supervision do the same.
29) Understand that roles and responsibilities may be updated at any time to align with evolving business needs.
30) Be prepared to take on additional or alternative assignments, provided they are safe and within reasonable expectations.
