Job Title: Business Development Manager - West Region.
Location: West India (Preferably Mumbai or Pune).
Position Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic partnerships within the Enterprise, Education, and Government sectors across the West region.
This role requires a proactive professional with expertise in B2B sales, government partnerships, and education sector engagements, ensuring revenue growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business across Enterprise, Education, and Government verticals in the West region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build a strong pipeline, and achieve revenue targets.
- Lead sales presentations, contract negotiations, and deal closures with key stakeholders.
Government & Institutional Sales:
- Engage with government departments, public sector organizations, and educational institutions to promote relevant products and services.
- Navigate government procurement processes and respond to tenders and RFPs effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, decision-makers, and regulatory bodies.
Enterprise Sales & Corporate Partnerships:
- Identify high-potential corporate clients, including large enterprises and mid-sized businesses.
- Work with HR and L&D teams to position company offerings as leading solutions for employee upskilling and corporate training.
- Develop long-term relationships with key enterprise customers, ensuring retention and growth.
Education Sector Engagement:
- Establish relationships with higher education institutions, universities, and K-12 schools to introduce educational solutions.
- Work closely with education boards, training providers, and ed-tech platforms to create customized offerings.
- Stay updated on education policies and funding opportunities to align solutions with market needs.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine business development efforts.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding new market opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product teams to enhance sales initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
- Provide periodic reports on sales performance, business opportunities, and key client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, government relations, or education sector business development.
- Proven track record in securing and managing government, enterprise, and education sector contracts.
- Strong understanding of public procurement, government sales cycles, and enterprise client acquisition.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the West region.
Key Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to navigate government sales processes and institutional procurement.
- Relationship management and consultative selling experience.
- Knowledge of education and training industry trends.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) and strong analytical skills.
