Automation Tester

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts for our products. You will work closely with developers to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications across different platforms, including web and API. Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Java/Python and other automation frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, design detailed test plans, and execute automated tests to ensure high-quality software.
Identify, document, and track defects in bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure ongoing test execution and feedback.
Participate in peer reviews of test scripts and provide feedback on code quality, test coverage, and automation best practices.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and execution reports.
Stay updated on the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of the teams overall testing strategy.

General Responsibilities
Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings, working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
Suggest improvements in testing strategies, tools, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior QA team members on automation testing best practices and tools.

Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience with automation testing frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python.
Solid experience in testing RESTful APIs, including creating and executing automated API tests using tools like Postman.
Strong understanding of manual and automated testing practices, including regression, functional, and performance testing.
Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, with the ability to create detailed bug reports and track issues to resolution.
Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
Strong documentation skills, including writing clear test cases, and execution reports, and maintaining test artifacts.
