Job Title: Raw Material Product Costing Specialist

Reports to: Business Controller/Financial Controller

Location: Taratala (Initially for 2 Months - Topsia)

Industry: Metal | Mining| Minerals| Manufacturing (Steel, Ferro Alloys, etc.)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Raw Material Product Costing Specialist to join our cost accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating and analyzing raw material costs for product pricing, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Role & responsibilities

1. Raw Material Costing: Calculate and analyze raw material costs, including market price fluctuations, transportation costs, and inventory valuation.

2. Product Costing: Determine the cost of goods sold (COGS) for products, including raw material costs, labor costs, and overheads.

3. Cost Variance Analysis: Analyze cost variances between actual and standard costs, identifying areas for cost optimization.

4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including raw material cost reports, product cost reports, and cost variance analysis reports.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for raw material costs and product costs.

6. Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve raw material costing and product costing processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure accurate and timely costing information.

8. Zero Balance Costing.

Desired Qualifications:

1.Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Qualified ICWA

2.Experience in the steel or ferro alloys industry, with knowledge of raw material costs and production processes.

Preferred candidate profile

* Experience: 4-7 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing| Metals | industry.

3. Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
