The CVO will oversee and manage our companys vigilance function, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, compliance with regulations, and prevention of fraudulent practices. This role is crucial in promoting transparency, integrity, investigation, Ethics compliance and accountability across all levels of the organization.
A. Scope of Work
Ethical Governance and Compliance:
Develop and implement a robust vigilance framework and policies to promote ethical practices and prevent misconduct. Conduct investigations pursuant to complaints and allegations of ethical wrongdoing or conflicts of interest
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Complete thorough and well-documented investigations with personal and professional integrity in finding unbiased facts and maintaining confidentiality to all participants to the fullest extent possible while demonstrating knowledge of generally accepted investigative standards, principles and techniques.
Provide sound analysis, solid data, confirmed facts, and insights into understanding the root causes.
Fraud Prevention and Detection:
Lead efforts to prevent and detect fraudulent activities, corruption, and unethical behavior within the organization.
Implement effective fraud risk management strategies and controls.
Investigate allegations of misconduct, fraud, or ethical violations, ensuring impartiality and thoroughness in investigations.
Vigilance Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver training programs on vigilance, ethics, and compliance for employees at all levels.
Foster a culture of integrity and accountability through awareness campaigns, workshops, and communication initiatives.
Reporting and Communication:
Report directly to the Head Admin on vigilance matters, including findings from investigations and recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Collaborate with senior management to review and update corporate policies related to vigilance, ethics, and compliance.
Ensure policies are effectively communicated, understood, and followed throughout the organization.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
Assess vigilance risks and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats.
Implement proactive measures to strengthen internal controls and prevent future incidents.
B. Competence Requirements
Proven experience (10+ years) in a Managerial role in vigilance, compliance, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of vigilance practices, ethics, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and irregularities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to fairness, transparency, and integrity.
