System design of Cooling, Ventilation for Nacelle, Hub and Towers modules in a Wind Turbine.
Development of new concepts & generating the most creative solutions to meet design issues & fulfil the product and technology road maps
Sizing of key system components, developing schematics, Assembly Drawings and outline, 3D models, functional specifications of Pump unit, Active /passive coolers, associated hose and piping systems and necessary Controls /Electricals.
Execute and drive supplier qualification of Cooling and Ventilation systems to drive fulfillment and cost out, meeting all CTQs
To involve in performing 1D /3D flow and thermal analysis of Nacelle and Tower systems to define system specifications and impact on other sub systems
Reviewing vendor calculation documents, technical proposals and schematics, Deviation lists, conducting a technical feasibility check to mitigate all risks
Collaborating with the CAD /FEA /Tech Documentation disciplines to assign and deliver engineering activities in support of NPI /RCA /Fulfilment projects.
Develop 3D-CAD design/models, 2D drawings and bill of materials based on design specifications.
Providing robust, high quality, efficient design solution with highest performance, Quality, and lowest cost across the value chain
Communicate appropriately to respective stake holders about program execution progress, risk, milestones etc
Ensure 100% compliance to QMS processes
Responsible for Design Reviews and Stage gate / milestones aligning with respective stake holders in the organization
Defining Validation Test Plans (VTPs) of system and proto trails at Supplier facilities, in house and at filed.
Responsible for closure of non-conformities (NCs)
Involves approximately 10% of Traveling time across India.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Shall have minimum 3-6 years of work experience in the System design of Cooling, Ventilation systems of Wind Turbine /Power /Heavy Machinery.
Candidate must have strong knowledge and experience of Thermal management / HVAC of Mechanical systems.
Good experience with SOLIDWORKS /PLM Lifecycle management
Expertise to select Radial/Axial fans, Gear /Centrifugal pumps, Hoses, AC/EC Motors and associated sensors /controls of Cooling system meeting Global standards for quality and reliability
Experience of handling design, testing, validation and commissioning of Cooling and Ventilation systems
Material & processes knowledge such as aluminium / steel / sheet metal / plastics / surface protection & codes /standards
Design process knowledge such as conducting design reviews, system interface design & stakeholder management
Must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills, including writing clear and detailed technical reports and emails
High level of self-reliability and ability to work independently combined with willingness to take accountability
