Senior Associate, External Reporting

We re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Accounting to join our Finance Controllers - COE Product Controls FX and Corporate Treasury team. This role is located in Pune or Chennai, Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu (HYBRID).

In this role, you ll make an impact in the following ways:

Manage the financial control environment for Markets activities in the assigned US, EMEA and APAC Regions
Govern the daily controls and month end close process, including review of daily SOX controls, excel based recons, journal entries, Balance sheet accounts reconciliations, monitoring of results, escalating, and resolving issue
Work closely with the overseas partners for the ongoing initiatives and provide support as required
Review of the monthly variances ensuring that it provides a meaningful analysis of different aspects of the business performances
Ensure the accounting process are robust, efficient, and well controlled
Contribute to project and process improvement initiatives as required

To be successful in this role, we re seeking the following:

Qualified Chartered Accountant or/and CFA Level 2 + with 3 to 5 post qualification experience in Product Control function supporting Fixed Income or/and Equities derivatives trading
Significant experience in Financial Markets, ideally Markets and/or Investment accounting experience
Strong technical accounting knowledge, Financial Products accounting is a plus.
Exposure to any Front and Back Office systems used for FX, Equities or Fixed Income businesses
Experience of a fast moving, highly controlled, multi-national/functional organization

Provides good bonus, and enough leaves a year.

Dislikes

Management isnt good, appraisal is terrible, promotions are very less compared to number of new openings, managers doesnt let you apply for IJPs, have to provide explanation on each of your leaves with proofs.
