About the Job:
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring financial stability, and driving strategic decision-making through sound financial analysis.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the company's financial health, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure plans.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability and identify potential shortfalls or surpluses.
- Analyze financial performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement robust risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial risks, such as credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
- Advise management on financial implications of strategic decisions and provide recommendations for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Accounting Operations:
- Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of general ledger and other financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and fixed asset management processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Develop and implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and enhance operational efficiency.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant taxes.
- Manage tax planning, filing, and assessments to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with all relevant updates.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance and accounting professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the finance department.
- Identify training needs and organize professional development programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (e. , SAP, Oracle) preferred
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills
