Work Timing: 10 -8.30 pm IST time

Working days: Tuesday to Sunday

Job Overview:

The Stitching Manager is responsible for overseeing the stitching operations in our furnishing fabric store. This role involves managing the stitching team, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and maintaining production schedules. The Stitching Manager will also ensure that products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company expectations for quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management:
• Supervise and lead a team of skilled stitchers, ensuring they adhere to company quality standards and production deadlines.
• Provide training and development opportunities to improve the skills of the stitching team.
• Assign daily tasks to team members, monitor their performance, and provide regular feedback.
• Production Planning & Scheduling:
• Plan and allocate stitching work based on customer orders, store requirements, and production capabilities.
• Ensure timely completion of orders by monitoring the progress of each project.
• Coordinate with the store manager to align production goals with store needs and customer demands.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that all stitched products meet the required quality standards, with attention to fabric integrity, stitching techniques, and finish.
• Inspect final products to ensure they are free of defects and are consistent with customer specifications.
• Implement a system for tracking quality issues and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Inventory& Material Management:
• Manage fabric and material inventory needed for stitching, ensuring sufficient stock levels for ongoing production.
• Collaborate with the store manager to ensure fabrics are properly stored and organized for efficient use.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that all stitching operations are carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace for the stitching team.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve stitching processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Stay updated on new stitching techniques, tools, and industry trends to enhance production quality.
• Customer Service & Custom Orders:
• Work closely with customers on custom orders, ensuring their fabric choices and design specifications are accurately followed.
• Address any customer concerns related to stitching or product quality in a professional manner.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in stitching or tailoring, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in working with various types of fabrics and home furnishings.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in stitching techniques, use of industrial sewing machines, and fabric handling.
• Knowledge of pattern making, measuring, and cutting to customer specifications.
• Leadership:
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the team, customers, and management.
• Attention to Detail:
• A keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in stitching, measurements, and final product quality.
• Organization:
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple orders at once.

Education & Certifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree or certification in fashion design, tailoring, or a related field is preferred.
• Any certifications related to stitching or sewing machine operations would be a plus.
