Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Specialist with strong knowledge of cloud technologies to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of computer systems. This position requires a blend of traditional desktop support expertise and cloud platform knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to support modern workplace solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, addressing desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues.
• Resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner, including operating system, application, and network-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain, deploy, and upgrade computer systems and software.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and peripherals (monitors, printers, etc.).
• Support cloud-based applications, ensuring seamless integration with end-user systems and devices.
• Assist with the management of cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.), including user account management, access permissions, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor cloud services and provide support to ensure uptime and availability.
• Configure and manage virtual desktop environments (VDI).
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
• Provide training and support to users on new technologies, including cloud-based solutions and collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Ensure that all IT issues are tracked in the helpdesk system and are resolved within service level agreements (SLAs).
• Assist in system upgrades, software patches, and routine maintenance for desktop and cloud-based systems.
• Manage data backups and restoration processes for end-user devices and cloud services.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security protocols, including data protection and access control measures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Desktop Support or similar technical support roles, with expertise in troubleshooting hardware/software across Windows and macOS environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and cloud-based applications (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace).
• Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) or virtual machines and familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Experience in IT asset management, security tools (e.g., endpoint protection, firewalls), and familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management).

• Work Location: Wagle Estate, Thane
• Work Timing: 10-7 pm IST time
• Working days: Monday to Saturday
• All Sunday off
