This role ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with business goals by leading a team of technical experts, service managers, and vendors. The incumbent will drive innovation, performance, and client satisfaction while maintaining high service levels and adhering to budgets.

The Global Head of Applications Managed Services is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of application support, maintenance, and optimization services. This role ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with business goals by leading a team of technical experts, service managers, and vendors. The incumbent will drive innovation, performance, and client satisfaction while maintaining high service levels and adhering to budgets.
Major accountabilities:
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement adaptable long-term strategies for application support that align with business needs and technological trends.
  • Service Delivery : Ensure consistent, reliable service delivery that meets SLAs. Monitor and enhance performance metrics for service excellence.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a diverse technical team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
  • Vendor Management : Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensure services meet contractual obligations and performance standards, and negotiate contracts for optimal service and cost-efficiency.
  • Innovation : Introduce emerging technologies and methodologies to improve service quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Financial Management : Manage the budget for application services, ensuring cost-effective delivery and financial targets, while identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Risk Management : Mitigate risks in application support, ensure compliance with regulations and policies, and maintain governance frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Build relationships with key stakeholders, communicate the value of services, and address concerns to align with business priorities.
  • Performance Metrics : Track and report KPIs, providing senior leadership with updates on service performance and data-driven insights for improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key performance indicators:
  • KPIs are tracked and reported, leading to improvements in service performance and providing data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • The percentage of contracts renewed, vendor satisfaction scores, and cost savings achieved through negotiations are monitored.
  • Adherence to budget, identification and implementation of cost savings, and financial performance against targets are ensured.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction scores, frequency of communication with key stakeholders, and alignment of services with business priorities are assessed.
  • Implementation of new technologies, efficiency gains from new methodologies, and client satisfaction improvement metrics are measured.
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements and adherence to best practices are maintained.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master s degree is preferred)
Languages
  • Fluent English required (oral and written)
Experience and Skills
  • 15+ years in application management or IT services, 10+ years in leadership roles.
  • Managed large-scale application portfolios and service delivery teams.
  • Experienced with ITIL frameworks and service management methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Excellent understanding of application architecture, cloud solutions, DevOps.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Budget management and cost-efficient solutions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledgeable in IT service management tools and platforms.
