Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (5-10 yrs)

Job Title : Senior QA Analyst.

Position Type : Full Time.

Location : Marathahalli, Bengaluru 560037 (Hybrid schedule will be 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely).

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Sr QA Analyst to join our team testing and supporting our loan origination and management systems.

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience testing web-based applications and the ability to learn the business and become a subject matter expert.

This position reports to the QA Manager and will be part of an Agile team responsible for delivering quality products that meet the business requirements.

To be successful, the candidate must have exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills with a strong background in planning, creating, and executing test cases based on documented user stories and collaboration with the Business Analyst and the Agile team members.

This position supports a hybrid work model.

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Gain a deep understanding of the applications being tested to become a subject matter expert in specific areas.

- Collaborate with Agile team members to understand high-level requirements and provide testing estimates.

- Create and execute manual test cases based on business requirements documented in user stories as well as playing a key role while working closely with peers onsite and offshore.

- Open defects in Azure DevOps to document issues and the steps necessary to reproduce them.

- Update regression test cases with new functionality and perform end to end testing to ensure the system continues to work as expected.

- Able to accurately assess test coverage and propose solutions to eliminate any gaps.

- Identify and recommend process improvements.

- Production support and Root Cause Analysis as needed.

Required Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field.

- 5+ years of experience testing web applications in an Agile environment.

- Financial Application and Loan System testing is a huge plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven track record of learning business operations and becoming a key member of the team.

- Strong understanding of test case management and Agile tools.

- Azure DevOps or Jira preferred.

- Experience with various types of testing including exploratory testing, system testing, backend database testing, regression testing and performance testing.

- Ability to develop and update basic SQL Queries to assist in testing.

- Experience digging into the details to understand issues and provide Root Cause Analysis.

- This may include reviewing log files, running SQL queries and tracing loan transactions through the loan lifecycle.

- Desire to learn automated testing tools to expand existing skill set.
