Junior Accountant

Objective:

Support book keeping of SAFRAN cluster entities, in an accurate and timely manner, and within accounting and taxes standards, and support process & tool improvements

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Main Function Responsibilities and Activities

Support to accounting team on accounting, treasury and SAP system at cluster level:

- Support to process & tool improvement: contribute to SAP roadmap deployment and overall tool improvement

- Support to Fixed asset management

- Support to Cash reconciliation

- Support to P2P process

- Support to SEZ compliance

- Assistance in tax filings

- Assistance in Monthly closing: provisions review, accruals posting, posting of miscellaneous manual entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliation

Other duties may be assigned on per request basis

Regular, predictable attendance is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A. Educational Qualifications

• Accounting/Finance Master degree.
• CA Inter/CMA Inter Qualified

B. Work Experience - Technical Knowledge

• 3-5 years of experience post qualification
• At least 5 years experience in Accounting activity, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• SAP FI/CO/MM module strong knowledge
• Solid experience on AR/AP/FA/tax management

C. Professional Skills

• Demonstrated functional expertise in India Accounting and tax topic.
• Experience in Intercompany processes
• Proficiency in using SAP CO/FI
• Fluent English

D. Behavioral Skills

• Sense of organization, ability to meet tight deadlines, rigor and reliability
• Adaptability to quick organizational changes (growing company, new entity created)
• Good communication, able to explain clearly financial data to non finance stakeholders, able to be influential in conversations.
• Ability to work in an international environment

E. Desirable Aspects

• Experience of operations in SEZ
