Instructional Designer (3-5 yrs)

Role Overview:

The Instructional Designer will play a critical role in developing, producing, and refining high-quality training content for a premium AEC research and Upskilling Cell of one of the leading architectural firms in India. This multifaceted role involves designing curriculum materials, training content designers, creating engaging multimedia course content, and editing materials to ensure clarity and consistency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in instructional design, content production, and graphic communication, with a passion for elevating learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum & Content Development

- Design, develop, and update engaging instructional materials for courses across BIM, AI in Design, Sustainability, and other AEC domains.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create structured, learner-centric course outlines and modules.

- Oversee content production, ensuring consistency in quality, tone, and brand alignment.

2. Content Production & Graphic Design

- Create visually appealing and informative graphical presentations and other multimedia learning assets.

- Execute graphic design tasks, including infographics and visuals, to support effective content delivery.

- Utilize content editing skills to refine and optimize training materials for clarity and engagement.

3. Training & Mentorship

- Mentor and train junior content designers, providing guidance on instructional best practices and content creation techniques.

- Develop internal guidelines and templates to streamline content production processes.

4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

- Conduct regular reviews and revisions of instructional materials based on learner feedback and performance analytics.

- Ensure all content adheres to accessibility standards and reflects current industry trends.

5. Collaboration & Project Management

- Work closely with cross-functional teams-including subject matter experts, marketing, and technology teams-to ensure seamless integration of content across platforms.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Attributes & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communication, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in instructional design or content development, preferably in EdTech or professional training.

- Proficiency in course authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.

- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote).

- Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.

- Ability to mentor and guide junior designers, with excellent interpersonal and project management skills.

- A keen understanding of adult learning principles and digital learning environments.

- Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
