Job Description

- Position is responsible for providing engineering expertise for complex multi-service networking
- The network engineer is responsible for engineering and supporting the network design, deployment and operations
- Installation, upgrade and maintenance of network routing and switching hardware and software; VoIP communications and IP-based telephony systems; wireless networking infrastructure and management software; video surveillance equipment; firewall, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, and other security-related systems
- Accountable for performing day-to-day system administrative functions in an efficient manner
- Compliance with established network configuration standards and best practices
- Provide management with understandable and actionable information regarding networking assets
Job Responsibilities
- Provides technical analysis in data center network planning, engineering, and design.
- Provides analysis for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexes, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Coordinates third-party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoots problems with department users and department network administrators.
Qualifications
- Diploma/ Degree in IT-related discipline
- 3 5 years of hands-on experience
- Experienced in implementing and administrating network devices such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls.
- Experienced in implementing and administrating network routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & network Security.
- Experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, TFTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.

- Possess good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification
