Job Profile
The Manager/AVP Risk is responsible for assisting in effective implementation of risk management frameworks and risk culture through execution of policies, processes, thresholds and controls that would enable prompt risk identification, accurate risk measurement and effective risk mitigation.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
The key job duties/responsibilities are enumerated below:
- Assisting the Chief Risk Officer for effective implementation of risk management frameworks and risk culture through ownership of policies, processes, thresholds and controls that would enable prompt risk identification, accurate risk measurement and effective risk mitigation;
- Review of credit appraisal notes including financial projections and analysis, review of annual reports (including promoter’s/borrower profile) for assessing credit risk;
- Assigning and reviewing internal ratings through monitoring of performance of stipulated covenants and Early Warning Triggers;
- Contribute to the development of risk reporting dashboards for management and Board meetings and suggest improvements to such reporting dashboards over time
- Contribute to the development of Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) framework and Key Risk Indicators of various departments for effective management of operational risk.
- Contribute to review of ICAAP Policy and preparation of ICAAP calculations including related management reports and regularly enhancing ICAAP Models/methodologies in line with Internal Policies and regulatory guidelines;
- Any other responsibilities assigned by Chief Risk Officer from time to time
Educational Qualifications
- Candidate should be preferably a post-graduate with degree in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Finance/CA/FRM/CFA.
Experience
- The candidate must have a minimum of at least 7 years of overall experience in a Banks/NBFCs/ AIFI.
- Should have ability to work in cross functional teams, co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders for project completion, should be highly committed and able to communicate clearly. Should have good verbal and written communication skills
- The candidate should have in-depth understanding of various credit risk assessment processes, including review of valuation methodologies and credit risk assessment models
- Understanding of accounting concepts, basic concepts on capital adequacy and various components of balance sheet, income statements
- Deep understanding of the model/data construct and the theoretical/conceptual framework for model development
- Analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in data sets. Use of appropriate mathematical framework and understanding of statistical tools to analyze and interpret data sets
- Analytical and problem-solving approach; strong numeracy, analytical and research skills
- IT competence with proficiency in various IT tools/software application required for dealing with large transactional datasets (experience with SQL, SAS, Python etc. would be an added advantage). Proficiency in MS excel, MS Power BI and other analytical tools.
